One semester down! ✌

HELL YEAH! It's finally the long awaited semester break!


I've never been so appreciative of breaks. Before it's usually just "Oh it's vacation already? Okay." but now it's like "FREAKING END THE SEM ALREADY!"

It feels like such a huge accomplishment to have finished a semester in med school. My brain was way past its limit and it's incredible how I'm still functioning despite the solid sleepless nights. Though compared to the first few months of it, I think I've finally adjusted. I'm slowly getting the feel of things and the adrenaline rush is kind of addicting. One reason why I decided to pursue medicine? I like learning. Those 'eureka moments' you get when integrating concepts are like having unlocked a level in a game. Priceless. Anyway, enough school talk.

I have a bucket list of things for this break.
1. One big thing that I would be doing is to go hiking. I've always wanted to try it but it usually ends as a day dream. But after the arduous 4 months in school, some soul searching is def a need to reinvigorate my tired mind. Making it real this time. In fact, the date it set and reservation is booked! Yasss. #AHJventures
2. Restore health - lessen the risk of non communicable disease. Med school is stress and eats up so much of my time. I gained a lot over the 4 months and based from all the laboratory work we did in class (bp, heart rate, respi, etc), I'm out of shape. I have to work out and watch my intake. Bring back the athlete in me!
3. Pampering is a must. Need to have my hair done, get my facial, my dental, and all that girly shizz I haven't done for so long. Must. Unzombify. Self.
4. Errands, errands, errands. Stock up on my supplies, tidy up the room, update the board of memories, preparations for the second semester, and get my voters ID. I'm gonna slack off but not entirely. I mean I still have responsibilities. Ugh.
5. Restore relationships. Family bonding and ahhh social life. Probably gonna meet up with friends and catch up. Med school has made me anti social, it's scary.
6. Last but not least, implanting my self in bed. I need sleep - lots of it. I'm just gonna snuggle up in my PJ's, catch up on series, movies, and well.. life and do nothing the rest of the day. Happiness is not setting up an alarm for the next day. Weeee.

Diary ng Panget.

One of the very few local films I've seen.


I don't always watch local films. Especially ones as cheesy as this. Maybe it's just me but they're just so predictable. And quite frankly, this one's no different.

There IS something about this film that made me like it though. Aside from the cast and OSTs, the film had those cute-funny scenes that gets you kilig. I have to admit, I fangirled a bit back there. Was it really necessary for James Reid to show off his bod like all the time? *shows abs* Woops, I guess it was. =)))
Years ago, when I still had that mushroom hair of mine, I happen to bump into him. Back then he wasn't as macho as in the film. But hell yeah, he's really handsome in person. Why must my hair be crazy looking back then? Ugh.

Anyway, story-wise, everything was anticipated. The scenes leading up to these anticipations were "cool cool cool" (Community's Abed as reference). They picked the right people for the role. It was cheesy yeah, but I was up for cheesy. I recommend you see it when bored and looking for something to pass time. No major lessons found here.

Don't get me wrong people. I like Indie films, a lot. Just not these type.

These fellas deserve more views. I've seen their other covers but since this is SHINee, I just had to post it. They're really mysterious too. They cover their faces with masks or they sometimes film their behinds and lower bod, if you're into those kinds of stuff. But as for me, their voice was enough to like them. Why wear mask you say? I don't know. Because they believe people should listen to them and not mind their physical appearance? That or they wanted to be distinct. Either which, I root for them.

Walking dead.

I can never get any more bum than this.

It's been a week since I've become a total shut in. My day goes as follows: wake up, eat, go back to sleep, surf the net, play with kudut, starve, mental collapse sometimes leading to a nap, headache, eat (a lot), wash up, pray, and finally, surf the net until I fall asleep. Every now and then I also manage my Restaurant City. RESTAURANT CITY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. I have so much free time I now have time to play it again which is just sad.

For the first few days, it felt rejuvenating. There was even a day I never saw daylight because my heart, mind and soul decided to sleep in. Yeah, I'm practically a sloth. But now that a week has passed, my brain started nagging: "What are you doing with your life right now." "I wonder what the future holds for you." "I believe you have stuffs to do." "You're gaining weight." yadda yadda yadda. It's only been a week but it felt like a long time has passed. And because of fasting, everything 'seems' so draining (or so I thought). I have to change that mindset though. I'm trying so hard to find the motivation to un-bumify. And I have to find it quick.

One of the many reasons I keep procrastinating is because of this new show I'm watching. It's called 'Roommate', a Korean reality show which involves 11 celebrities (combination of idols, actors, athletes) living under one roof. Kinda like PBB minus the big brother, all the drama, and the eviction. It's all fun and games with this one which for me looks more legit. My only frustration is that it's still airing so I have to wait like a week for the next ep. Agh.

Boys Meet U + Breaking News

I claim to be a Shawol yet I didn't know about these two? Aside from that, SHINee has vevo? WTH I should just retire.

What up KPOP 1D! Huhu. I'm sorry but it was very 1D. Not being stereotypical here but the jumping in the beach part, I cringed. SHINee oppas, never do that again jaebal-yooooo~ If this were meant to be a test to see what people's reaction would be like, I'd give it a big N-O. Well, this is coming from a girl who adapts to changes quite slowly, so I don't know. Your opinions could say otherwise. (Before I get some negative comments, I just would like to point out that I'm not hating on 1D. Matter of fact, I have lots of their songs on my playlist. What I don't like is imitation though. Especially if it doesn't suit them. Just clearing that out.)

I did like the music though. It was upbeat. SHINee oppas are adorable as always. It was very natural. I can totes see their personalities here. Cute little chibis they are.

Now this I like. Raise the roof, woot woot!

Call it labeling or what, but this concept really fits SHINee perfectly though. Strong and dark. Now that I think about it, I actually started liking them in Ring Ding Dong. That was pretty dark. So maybe.. I'm subconsciously attracted to the dark side! Lol just kidding. No, but I really really liked this one. And Onew was quite prominent here too. And handsome ofcourse. That's a given. Hekhek. But there's something about this that reminded me of SNSD. Hm.. ok no. Scratch that. It reminded me of SM in general. They sure have a very distinct brand.

Final grades.

Not sure if I should suck it up or if I need to do something about it. Hm.. There is one particular subject which I think needs some inquisition though. You know, getting informed of the breakdown of grades. But seriously, that feeling I got when I saw the semestral QPA was just..

I was too close. *sigh* By the way, I'm sorry for all the profanity on the gifs. I would censor it if I could but I couldn't.

Since it's not really in my nature to complain, I would just have to endure a period of mental, physical, and emotional agony. Anyway, I did very well on the subjects I thought I lacked in. That'll keep me sane for a few days. NOT.

Music with toilet brushes.

Comes the do nothing friday (or rather saturday morning).

Now, this is something interesting. Where else can you see a man using toilet brush to make beautiful music? It's weird, yet brilliant. And to think he kept it smooth and stable for 15 and a half mins. Much stamina.

We live in a pretty ordinary world, don't you agree? People do things in accordance to what the society thinks is right or proper. I admire people such as him who steps out of the comfort zone. People who are never afraid of trying new things. People who turns to art simple everyday materials. These are the ones who succeed in life, the imaginative ones. Nowadays, because of modern technology, we don't think critically as much as before. It seems now, we don't have the time to appreciate the simple things in life such as a brush.

But.. just a funny thought. How on earth did he end up using toilet brushes? Was he in the bathroom when he thought of this? I'm really curious though. Haha.

Also found this really cool beat. I may not seem like the type of person, but I really like soft and lyric-less musics. Keeps me calm. Like really.. calm. I find tons of good music in youtube and people refer to it as "the good part of youtube". Strange though why these (Spazzkid, Pinback, Rob Crow, Jukebox the Ghost, etc) don't get as much recognition as Minaj or Cyrus or the current "big" artists we have. No criticizing or whatever intended, I also think some of their songs are just as good, in fact I have their songs downloaded. But for times such as now when I want to sit back and relax, I'd rather listen to calm music. (ignore the girl holding the knife)

In other news, I've opened my second shop AHJIMA.
It's a personal shop that I'll use as a back up work for when I'm off school. So yeah, I'm hoping for it's huge success like how successful Pegshoppe was! :)

These performances drove me cray. Never fangirled (internally) like this my whole life. Heart going to burst any moment now, no joke. Anyway, I prefer the live performances way more than the MVs. Partly due to excessive Onew screen time and because I got to see the entire thing. Frankly speaking, the MV didn't jump out much. Live performances are always the best! Oh and maybe stylist noona heard my plea. Hahaha. Liking their stage outfits! I like them better this way, simple.

Well, time to go grab me the full album. GAAH! XD But before I go, I just had a convo with one of my friends. I linked this to her and she said "Wow. 1080p HD!" so I told her and with much pride that "A shawol does not simply watch SHINee in low quality." -arms crossed, eyes closed, while nodding.

Ok so we start with the most noticeable thing ever.. ONEW IS BLONDE! Gaaaaah! XD

Though I must admit I like his short brown messy gelled up hair better (that hair he had in Ring Ding Dong), or he's not too long not too short brown hair in Hello. Oh but blonde looks fine too!

But stylist noona, stop making Dubu look old or young jaebaaal! He's 23 for crying out loud. I understand the effort and I know that SHINee's concept is out of the ordinary & always changing but sometimes it's just too much. -_-

Anyway, back to the MV. Hmm.. well, the melody didn't cling to me at first. Only the "Everybody, Everybody, Every-everybody!" was retained. The rest, I don't know. I had to repeat it several times before I started to mumble some of the parts. :P For the MV itself, I think they need to put in a plot for us to understand the video more. SHINee is getting used to vids where they just dance around and show like half a second of their faces. I mean c'mon, I need to see Onew's new look! Hehe. Choreography was fascinating as always. They sure love illusions! I'd say it's their edge - to make it hard for people to cover. Haha.

It's been a month since I saw my oppas live and upperbox B was the closest I could get to them. But it still felt surreal. I actually saw SHINee perform live. The thought never fails to make my mood soar! :')

Mom And Tina's

Anyway, we had our early dinner after defense at Mom and Tina's! Although serving time took long, the food was great! Also, appreciated how they exchanged my order with pesto when I found out that their Chicken Relleno had pork on it. That was heroic of you, bruh. Haha.

Just now, my dad was in a real deep nightmare. It was as if he was crawling away from something. Like Sasaeng 'fans'. And he was mumbling all this.. well, mumbles. First time I saw him like that and it was a pretty scary site, so I woke him up. He was so thankful that I did. He certainly did not want to sleep again after that. Could hear him heavy breathing. :(

Sorry, I could not contain my feels. Was just reading an article on Sasaeng fans thus the reason behind my mentioning. "One time, a member was walking out when a sasaeng fan grabbed him by the back of his hair and caused him to fall over. She only did it because she wanted to be remembered by him, even if it's for something bad." WTF man. Could they still be considered fans? I understand that they wanted their idols to know they exist but that's just too much. I mean, ain't it enough to see them in person? Aish, humanity. It's a good study though. Ahehe.

Well, time to get back to work. It was fun while it lasted. Now I should go back to thesis mindset. Aigoo. But before that, how about we enjoy the last stage for SHINee's Dream Girl?

K, so I've been lazying around for the past 3 days. Most of the time, just sleeping. Was trying to make up for all those restless nights. Hihi. The rest of the time I was watching The Romantic and Idol Season 1. I should be naming this entry that but I don't know. It just didn't leave any impression to me. I felt numb during and after watching. Hahaha. Hay. I think it deserves at least a mention though, thanks to Park Hyungsik.

Just to update.

K, so I've been gone for God knows how long.
Yes, I'm still alive and well. Don't worry about me recovering from some serious illness or something, no I'm not dying. I am instead stressing over deadlines which may be one possible cause of my being dead at the moment.

But alas, when I'm this much occupied, there are certain things God do to make me smile.

Greetings that are directed to a group won't move you much, let's be honest with ourselves. But a message coming from a friend telling you to smile when you most need it, now that would move you. Kapatid, yes I'm talking about you. You deserve to at least be recognized in this blog of mine for your heroic act. Haha.

Another would be this:

Dream girl! Gaaah. I'm going deaf because I kept listening to THE ALBUM. Yeah, the entire thing. I just love SHINee. I won't ever get sick of them, I promise. Their songs are just my style. And Onew's voice, ohGod. The fluttering feeling it gives never changes. I've said this several times before but I'll say it again, I hope to see you soon. :)

A Wolf's Temptation.

My standards are soaring after Innocent Man. Haha. Kidding. I'm getting sick of watching movies and dramas for the past few weeks. I keep changing cuz I couldn't find one which I'd stick to through the end. #sigh

This movie which I would be doing a critic on was actually recommended to me by youtube. Technically. I'm thankful I keep stumbling on recommended videos in youtube. Really good finds! Worth watching.

Hm.. Well, let's just say this seems familiar. A typical Korean movie I guess? Lucky for them I like these types of movies. Characters were great. I like the girl because she's not all girly and acts fake-ish but is just naturally beautiful. The guys were handsome, OMG I must admit. But not my reason for watching. Story line seems like a combo of different movies and all. Koreans sure love their sad endings. And their mafias. Ahaha. I consider it a no brainer or a movie to pass time. It was okay. A good one after looking for so long. I wouldn't tell you the story since I think the sorta trailer gave it all but to give you a tease why you should watch it, that's not all there is to it. The plot thickens somewhere between what was shown in the trailer.

Oh and was it just me or did any of you notice the striking resemblance between Kang Dong Woon (one who played Tae Sung in the movie) to Superstar K4's Jung Joong Young. Right? I even thought it was him at first. Haha.

Second, currently I am being sickly in my bed. Heck, I don't even know what illness this is. Throat is itchy, having slight chills and muscle hurts a lot. But not to worry, I'll be well and alive. I just need me my hot cup of coffee and this laptop so I could watch SHINee's 1000 years still by your side.

There is this song that I keep playing on and on for who knows how long. Seriously, played it like the entire day. Is it even possible to love a song this much though I don't understand much of it?

Yes, yes it is possible. You don't need a translation for you to love a song. This goes out to all those who question kpop saying do we, kpop lovers, even understand a word. For me it's practically same with classical music. There is no lyrics but somehow makes you at ease. Why? Because you could feel something. Sometimes, we read between the invisible line. If not, then learn to.

Though maybe there are times, I must admit, when good looks could also be an additional factor. :P

What is my problem, you might ask? Why the hell am I attacking those innocent and curious people? Hahaha. Well, it's because currently I am analyzing with all my nerve cells this poem entitled Dichterliebe (A Poet's Love) of Heinrich Heine. A poem turned into a song. I'm not really a poem person but I did like this one.

New template.

It's been NEVER since I last changed my template.

This new one's pretty decent, I think. Simple but decent. I just hope viewers won't get confused as to where to click and whatnot. Whatnot. Suddenly I remembered Physics. God, it's haunting me. Anyway, I'm guessing I settled with this new template since I know my html skills got a bit rusty. Maybe when I have all the time in the world THEN maybe I'll add some cool widgets and stuff. But for now, I'll settle with this.

Updating my playlist with some OST! Sadly though, 4shared's being a jerk today. Won't let me log in. And alot of sites are banning album downloads, so I guess I had no choice but to look for them one by one. So far, I've downloaded.. tantararan! One. Myungsoo & Yerim's duet on SFBB. And I'm too lazy to look for others. So I don't think I could call this 'updating my playlist' just yet. Adding a song, now that's more appropriate. Hehe.

Persuade me.

Typical me. Instead of studying for Physics, my all time favorite subject ever (yes, I was being sarcastic), I'm out reading this wattpad story called Persuade Me by Erin Flagella.

The very first teacher-student relationship story I've read. I'm at chapter 25, I guess? And it's pretty good so far. Points for the author's sense of humor. How good was it? Let's say it took me less than a day to finish those 25 chapters. Some chapters were pretty short though. Nonetheless, it was a good read.

Meanwhile..

Though everyone knows each other already (since we've been together for like 2 years now), we still went through the usual introduction thingy people do on first days. -what I hate about first meetings. So sick of it already. -___-

Well atleast it's giving us time to adjust. I, for example, am still hung over from summer. Haha. Anyway, this semester, I wish to announce to everyone that I will be posting less. I guess. My sched is jam packed with major subjects so I SHOULD study real hard if I want to make it out alive and if I wish to graduate and not end up in the streets like what the parents say. I guess it's goodbye internet for a while and hello books and papers clipped together... Naah. I'm not that studious. Hahaha. But do expect for lesser posts. I assure you that. Haha.

Went back to this post. Noticed that the vid clip of Kim Min Seok singing wasn't working anymore. Boo. Instead, I changed it to Wake Up by '성준' which in non-korean words, I don't know. But listening to the song, I think it's mainly the leader, Sung Joon. :')

Still pretty wicked cool. Though I don't understand why all Kim Min Seok's rendition was banned from youtube. -___-
