It's that time of the year.

And so it came, the Holy Month of Ramadan.

For a whole day until sun down, we refrain from eating and drinking. Like the gif, I don't know what or how to feel to be honest. It may seem rather extreme for some people and at some point I would have to agree with them. But let me tell you this, pitying us doesn't help.

I'd like to take this opportunity to explain on behalf of my brothers and sisters. People see this practice as something dreadful. It's been years since I started this religious observance. Truth is, I'm kind of used to it. And really, I don't mind doing it. It's my choice and it's not like I'm compelled to do it (well, we sorta are). Just a friendly reminder for some of you: when someone you know is fasting, instead of feeling sorry for us, encourage us. The month of Ramadan is considered a sacred month when we fulfill our obligations as a believer of this faith and not as robots merely fasting for compliance. In short, we don't see fasting as savagery but rather a salvation. I'll give you some time to let that sink in.

What a strange drama. It was different, I'll tell you that. For one, they weren't too fashion oriented like most dramas I know. There was not one outfit, that stood out. Here the lead usually wears ragged jeans and a worn out shirt and she's pretty jolly about it. Not sure if it was intentional but it felt down-to-earth, which for me is something good. As for the story.. points for being funny and cute. The story line was thought-provoking, but you lost me at the far end. This is embarrassing but I really don't remember the ending. Guess it wasn't that memorable. Basically, the synopsis is.. as it is. Just add the tragic story of Mr. CEO and you have the whole drama in front of you. It was still a good watch though. Seo In-guk was a plus!

Why Psychology?

I don't even know how many times I've heard that question before. And from what I remember, I always tell them "Because it's a pre-med course." But now that I think about it, there's more to it than just that.

When I was young, you wouldn't believe how withdrawn I was from everyone. When I ask people how I was as a kid they would stop there and say, I don't remember. Apparently, my presence wasn't made that visible. At some point though, I felt I wanted to change. And maybe (just maybe) my choice as a Psychology student was the first step.

To my professors. Thank you for helping me grow as a person. You were patient enough to share to us what you know and help us understand the world slowly but surely. I would want you to know that I had so many light bulb moments (during those lonely jeepney rides going home) because of you. I won't lie though. There were times I felt incompetent, sluggish, drained and just.. lifeless because of school. It wasn't easy taking your class. And nobody said it would be. But as hard as it may go, I always find myself making an effort to improve. And it's all thanks to you. You have trained me to become competent, hard working, and you have filled my life with meaning. I will carry all these lessons with me as I set to another journey. My deepest thank you for all your help. ♥♥♥

To my friends. You made my four year stay in college bearable. We had a lot of good laughs and there were also tough times, but what's important is that you stayed with me until the end. This goes out to all my friends, HS and college. Blockmates, I want you to know how blessed I am to be part of such kind, considerate, smart, supportive and just.. beautiful (inside and out) block. Pwera bola ah. Haha. I will NEVER forget those times na tuwing may isserve na pagkain sa ating lahat, immediately you'd ask me "Ahj, pano ka?" Haha. Sobrang cute niyo lang. Believe me or not, I am very happy I ended up with considerate people like you. Sad truth is that we won't be seeing each other much after this and probably get to talk less, but I hope we won't stay as facebook friends lang. :) Nwy, congratulations to us! I wish everyone the best. I hope that whatever you turn out to be in the future is what you really want to be and that you're happy. I love you, guys! ♥♥♥

To my family. Especially to my parents. You served as an inspiration for me to continue. The intro of this post, I direct it to all of you. It seems that I went into Psychology because I wanted to reach out to you, to understand you. And look at me now. I feel connected and I'm even making an effort to maintain the ties. I know we're not the type to show emotions but I surprisingly like it that way. Self contained man tayo lahat, I still feel that warmth and deep affection of a family. I am more than blessed to have lived my 20 years with you. At this point, I would like to thank you for providing me with the support needed in order to push myself to succeed. ♥♥♥

To Allah the Almighty. To the One who gave me life. Thank You for allowing me to meet such people. I admit that there are times when I question You about the circumstances of life, but in the end, I begin to realize that they're just struggles and challenges which makes me a better person. I still have a long way to go and I ask for Your guidance all through out. I am sorry and I thank You. ♥♥♥

They say that when a door closes, another one opens. Medical life na kaya ang door na yun? Well, sana. Haha. Whatever happens, I got them ^ naman. The 8th cardinal rule: "If you've been feeling worn down or just uninspired, don't just lie down and accept your status. There are ways to improve."

New Year in our Man-Ok!

Man-ok means "Full House" in english.
Yep. That's right. After lkjhgfds years, I have finished another epic kdrama, Full House 2.

Such a cutie drama! ^^
Really liked the characters. They were all so refreshing to watch I cry! #cutiecutecute Then there's always that one character in every drama who acts serious in front of people but is really a dork deep inside like all of us. Kawaii Tae Ik-nim, my fave character of all times!

THE STORY. Top korean hallyu stars Tae Ik and Won Kwang Hwi (group name: Take One/Taek Won) meets this ahjumma-looking woman, Jang Man-ok, who works as a taekwondo teacher and online clothes seller behind her grandpa's back. Korean series of coincidental events led to her becoming their stylist. That's it. Well.. for a start. It gets complicated later on. Like really intense. Hihi. OMO OMO OMO! I remember there's this must-see part!!! A very epic kissing scene which I bet you've never seen in any kdrama ever! It's so epic it deserves a japanese blushing emoticon (*/////∇/////*).

Rating: 10 (cuz I liked the ending, not a cliffhanger & it's a good thing it's not)

On another note, wishing everyone a very happy 2014! May this year bring you more laughs, more meaning, more achievements and more memories to treasure. I am grateful I have celebrated it again with my family in our own Full House. :)

Valentines 2013.

Yayayay! A day made to celebrate diabetes. Haha.

Oh my God. Red Velvet to satisfy my asdfghjkljdlkv craving for cake! Currently munching on the cake Pattynavs gave. Tastes like how I expected it to be, simply heaven. Gaaah! Also, showered with Goyas yet again this year! Is it becoming a tradition? I hope so. Haha. Kidding. Even Pegshoppe has a surprise and it was something I looked forward to for so long. Finally, it came. Hahaha.

Well ofcourse it's not only take take take, I gave Beka donuts and chocolates! And attached was this really fail korean letter. HAHAHAHA. I'm not Korean and I don't know how to speak nor write the language so I guess it's forgiveable. Haha. Hope she liked it!

Despite the pretty stressful day (tests here and there, org chem wanting to have all the attention), I still want to wish everyone a very Happy Valentines! It's not just love between partners, it's love for everyone. Spread the love!

Happy New Year, everybody! Hohoho~

I don't get it. I've been celebrating New Year's Eve for 19 years now but I still get that tingly feeling when the time draws closer to midnight. Last year, I believe I mentioned about an urge for a change. I mean I get it. You don't change overnight. But still, something about the last mins of the 31st is making me so.

Since fireworks were not permitted this year (which I think is ridiculous because what's a new year without fireworks), we lit some lanterns! Yipee! I recall one that was set on fire cuz we didn't know how it work. Hahaha.

New year, new hair! Woooot.

I never thought I'd ever dye my hair. I don't really know why I did. For a change, I guess? Hahaha. It's hair anyway, it'll grow back. Besides, I loved what they did to it! :D

I had my hair done at Mary Pauline's Salon, and the color I chose was Rich Autumn Red. I wanted it redder though cuz I think this looks browner than red. But anyway I'm quite satisfied. Beloved friends are in for a surprise. Ahehe. :)

Yesterday, I ate Taco Bell, watched The Hobbit and well, did what I normally do everyday. It was an average day for me. Nothing special except that I keep being reminded of your day. I wanted to do something special, but I didn't know what. Anyway, I hope yours was extraordinary. I know it is. A lot of fans out there trying their best to give you an awesome one. Did you have chicken? You probably have. Haha. I wish you success on your career. Have a comeback SOON. In Korea. Japan had a lot of you already, time to go back to Korea. Haha. Also, my ultimate wish for you is that you visit the Philippines. Uhm, it's more of my wish for me, but yeah, I shall wish that also for you. Ahehe. I want to hear you sing live. And see you upclose. I know you'll come here. I just know it. In the mean time, I'll be patient and shall continue to support SHINee til the end. SHINee Jjang!

Kapatid's surpise.

Not sure but I think the post about Kapatid's surprise last year is named the same as this. Well, anyway, that's not important. Haha. Moving on. We went to Kapatid's school last monday to throw a surprise party for her late birthday. Oh and by the way! It was a failure. :(

The odds were against us. For everything, almost everything wrong seemed to happen. Firstly, we were late. Second, the sky was perfect that morning but later on started pouring while on our way. Third, the cake was ruined because I think I shook it too much. But the most unfortunate thing was when we missed our stop and so we had to walk a distance to reach our destination. Despite the series of misfortunate events, we managed to see Kapatid and DID infact surprised her. She wasn't expecting us which was the original plan. Yay! :D

Don't know how many times I've said this, but Happy Birthday Kapatid! Sorry we're late. The surprise I mean. Days after your birthday. But I could tell it made you happy. I hope so. Ingat lagi! You know I miss & love you unconditionally!

Wasn't able to take photos of the cakes which we bought from breadtalk. Didn't really expect they'd be selling cakes there. To my surprise, the cakes were lovely.
