My first face pack!

Monday, January 6, 2014

I know it's ridiculous that I had to share something as small as this to the blog world. Haha. But..

Yayayay! Got to try my first face mask ever!
Okay, no. That was a lie. I have tried one before, twice now actually. But that was because of the added service for when I had my acne removal. Anyway, this one was for cleansing (and also because I wanted to pamper myself after an exhausting day.. at home, lol).

St. Ives, Timeless Skin (Mineral Clay Firming Mask).
Clay, so it was extra hard to apply it on the face. It hardens real quick so I had to daub like really fast. Haha. Anyway after applying, you have to wait 10-15 mins before you can wash it off. You could just feel how it hardens up like a cement (making it hard for me to smile for the camera, lol). It was nice. I'm not exaggerating or whatever but I woke up feeling refreshed, clean. Really. (though I wanted a mask that cools and that could be peeled off. It's more fun that way. Hahaha.)

I'm really trying to live up to my 2014 resolution - healthy living. I wanted to loose weight yes but I also want to have a very healthy system. Though we all know it's hard to just change overnight, I'm relying on my internal motivation for a boost. I recently started this thing called the "Banana Diet" where I only eat bananas for breakfast plus room temperature water. What's great about this diet is that I get to eat whatever for lunch and dinner. So why bananas?
Bananas are filled with enzymes that boost digestion and metabolism that aids weight loss. They are a rich source of resistant starch, which is thought to leave you feeling satisfied and therefore less inclined to overeat at meal times as well as increasing the body’s fat-burning capacity.
Also, I need bananas for its potassium. I started the TTHSatSun work out, you see, so I need it now more than ever to avoid getting muscle cramps. Besides the ones mentioned, there are lots of other benefits of eating potassium riched food, see here. And besides potassium, there are also a variety of food sources that would help you shred those extra pounds, see here. Anyway, just a funny confession: I tried searching for different idol fitness secrets the past few days (I have 5 bookmarked). Hahaha. I just think some of it were a little extreme (Yuri's 600 daily sit-ups, Kim Ah Joong's 3k daily jump rope, and some other idols eating nothing but plants the whole day). And as expected, it takes a lot more than motivation to look as fine as them.

Just some friendly tips though: (1) If you want to loose weight, be sure to have a balanced diet. Don't starve yourself, alright? That ain't helpful. (2) When choosing an exercise routine, follow one that suits you, one that you can handle. Don't over work your self, I mean c'mon know your limits. (3) And finally, when you have decided to join the fitness bandwagon, DO IT FOR YOU. This would help motivate you more efficiently.
