WTF: Where's the Food.

Maginhawa QC Food Festival
October 11, 2014

I love Maginhawa. It's truly QC's food Mecca and I'm very lucky (whenever I have money that is) to be living close by. Me and my friends would really love to try all the restaurants there someday. And as if the world is giving us permission to do so, Maginhawa became one of the host for the 75th QC Anniversary!

I'll keep the reviews short but meaty (pun intended).

1. Stuff Over Burger Cafe
Place was small but intimate. Great for chilling when alone or with a good friend. Not advisable for barkada meetings, definitely. Service was fast. Price was reasonable. The burgers, though the meat was yummy, the bread was something you can get out of the grocery store. It wasn't chewy at all, matter of fact it was crunchy and cold. Same goes for the fries.
Rating: 7

2. Crazy Katsu
I expected a lot from this place since a lot of people I know said good things about it. Though it wasn't entirely a let down, something was off. Maybe it just wasn't the Japanese food I was looking for that day? Probably. I tried out their best-seller and for me it didn't feel like the best, sorry. Price was fine. Service too. Place was nice and could accommodate a few more than Stuff Over Burgers.
Rating: 8

3. Taste of Heaven
YUMMY. It did feel like a taste of heaven. This is the best milkshake I've ever had so far. Then again, it was the only milkshake place I know. Haha. I went here twice already and it still makes me want to try out other flavors. Cut a long story short, I'm lactose intolerant but they make me crave for their milkshakes whenever I'm in the area.
Rating: 9

4. Cha Dao Tea Place
What can I say, an ordinary milk tea place. Not the best one but good enough to quench a thirst. The lady in the counter was nice too, points for her. :)
Rating: 7

5. Katz Diner
After hours of travelling Maginhawa, we had our lunch at this newly opened (not sure) restaurant along Malingap. It had this homey feel to it. I think it was the owner, a very sweet old lady, who personally handed me their menu. I was so touched for words at that time. Haha. The place was almost packed and it may be because they just opened but I noticed they were a bit agitated. Personally I think it's great they were because it makes them watch out for every customer. Food was fine, good enough to leave my empty stomach satisfied. Price was a bit expensive. But I will probably come back to have brunch or something again there someday.

Looking forward for more Maginhawa Adventures with my favorite people! The best feeling is to eat good food with good people. This is what makes me happy.

Highschool King of Savvy
(Wrote this weeks ago. Only posting them now.)

Some of you might hate me for this. But that was the worst ending for a drama ever.
Didn't like it at all. I may have been expecting something different or I might have an unreasonably high standards for drama endings but for me that ending was just messy and sorta lame.

*SPOILER* What ever happened to the other characters? I want to see the progress between the director and that lady. What about his parent issues? What about the older brother? And that wedding! What is up with that. I have a looot of questions. The ending felt unfinished. It felt something like "Screw it, do whatever you want for the ending." It just wasn't well thought off, you know? *END SPOILER*

Seo In Guk and Lee Ha Na's acting were adorable though. Usually after leads get together it gets real mushy and lame. Theirs wasn't. And for that, I'm giving you a fair score.

Kpop Republic 2013.

Did it just end? Seriously? But I didn't want it to. :(
Ok, so to start off, let me just rant about how I wasn't 100% satisfied. SHINee needed to have more stage time. I know this is me being selfish to the fans of Exo and Dalshabet but it's been 4 freakin' years!!! And I only got to see them what, like less than 30 mins. Pfft! I wanted more SHINee! I WANTED MORE ONEWWWWWW! D:

Now on with the experience. I don't usually do this but whatever guys, here is my #ootd for the concert. Simple and comfortable.

I just love Araneta. It's the perfect place for concerts, really! Well.. I'm not the one to talk cuz' I haven't really experienced other stadiums yet but I just love how I could see everything so clearly. *Note that I was sitting in silver. Also note that me and my concert friend Trisha were able to find better seats, closer to the stage for we found vacant ones up front. Lucky!*

This is embarrassing to admit but in my 19 years of living, this is actually my first concert ever. And in all honesty, it didn't really go as I pictured it would. Maybe it's the idol shock that's speaking but I seriously didn't feel anything. Almost numb even. I was trying too hard to take in everything that I didn't know where to look anymore. Hahaha. There were 4 performers: Crispi Crunch and April Kiss' Soomin, Dalshabet, Exo-K and SHINee. I screamed the most for SHINee ofcourse but I also did just as much in Exo. I just lost it. I just couldn't stay calm. Haha. And it's funny because I didn't think Trisha would be as fangirlish as I was, so we complimented each other pretty well. The first time I met her she was very gentle and she probably had the same impression on me. We were singing, dancing, jumping, shouting without a care in the world. It was the best let loose feeling ever.

Everything ended so fast. :( Just 4 songs each? Aish.

Exo: Wolf, History, 365 and Growl.
SHINee: Dream Girl, Lucifer, Beautiful and Why So Serious.

Key spoke the most. Probably because he knew English well. Onew speaks just a few phrases. He looked unsure of what he's saying even so makes up for it by smiling. :') I just wish they talked more. Interaction with the fans is very important.

To sum up, the concert experience would have been better if I were closer to them. From where I sat, it kinda felt like watching them in television. Despite this, I was still very happy I was able to see them. SHINee Jjang! ❤

Wazzup, ketchup!

It's been ages! I'm sorry. :(
A lot has been going on all at the same time lately. School, relationships, fasting, that I haven't had the time to update anywhere. Facebook as an exception. So here I am now, being a bum for a while because it's a great do nothing Monday night!

Before anything else, I wanted you guys to see my black nails. Haha. It wasn't like that just a few days ago. It was way messy. Fixed it up for the photoshoot (supposed photoshoot) and well.. because the last one was just hideous. Simple black nails! Just the way I like them.

On the other hand, I am WAAAAY excited for September! You know why? Well let's just say one of my long time wishes had come true. No, not 'one of' but THE ultimate wish. Fudgeeeee. Yes, that's right! I almost cried when I heard that my SHINEE OPPAS ARE COMING THIS SEPTEMBER 7! Huhuhuhu (tears of joy)! Together with Exo K and Dalshabet. OMG, I'll be seeing my oppas real soon! Huhuhu. I am just so happy. :D Less than a month to go and I'll be seeing Onew! Hihihi. I'll buy my ticket tomorrow probably. But only when the rains not being mean. I hope there're some good seats left!

What else? Well, it's thesis period so I've nothing much to talk about besides the ones above. Nothing special happened. So I'll instead be leaving you with a good song to listen to for this perfect cold weather: SHINee's Selene.

Although we don't have one, I still get to celebrate Christmas yearly thanks to my friends.

The theme for this year's christmas party was dress your cartoon character. I went as Spongebob probably because it was easy to pull off and also since Spongebob is my favorite character of all time. Takes me back to when I was little. I grew up with that yellow sponge dude so I thought it deserves some recognition. Ahehe. I've always wanted to cosplay some character. This was a first for me and I enjoyed it very much. Looking forward for next year!

Kinda late post but anyway, we made scents! 3 of them! Touch of pink, light blue and incanto. Oh the joy! Didn't think making a perfume would be that easy. I could even make one at home! And I will! XD
